iacw • Traditionals 1. Anne Soldaat - Days of '49 Traditional songs are songs from unknown authors, mostly because they're so old and transmitted through an oral tradition. These songs are often related to a certainnational culture and tell of personal or historical events. This album was recorded in an ice rink canteen in the small town of Hagestein The Netherlands, in the summer of 2009. Power was supplied by a little generator which kept purring behind the ice rink cabin for a whole week. A few gallons of gasoline is enough to record an album.
